Pancakes ("Bliny") after Vespers

Dear all,
The Cheesefare "Maslenitsa" week has come! In order to prepare to the Great Lent properly, we would like everyone to join us for "Bliny" (Russian pancakes) that are traditionally made this week! (This tradition is only a few centuries old, and very young compared to ancient Canadian cheesecake and beaver-tail tradition.) Eeveryone is heartily asked to stay after Vespers on Tue Feb 28 for the promised cheescakes, for pancakes, tea and everything that comes with them!

We will try to make sure there is enough for you and friends you bring :)

The Russian fraction of the Holy Cross Mission.

P.S. Those who have collected anything, please bring shoes and things for the Volsk orphanage this Tuesday! We will be sending the parcel(s) later this week.

Bliny! I am so excited! This is going to be a cheesefare feast! Does anyone else have any cheesefare traditional foods that they would like to bring???? I see the beginnings of a Holy Cross tradition here.
