Weekly Vespers at UBC

"...the sun knows it's time for setting, Thou makest darkness and it is night...." (Psalm 104: 19-20)

Weekly Vespers is held Tuesday evenings at 6:00 PM. Services are held at St Mark's Chapel at UBC. This ancient evening rite of the Orthodox Church recapitulates creation, the sin of humanity and our salvation in Jesus Christ. Through prayers, psalms and the hymns of the Church we offer our worship to God in spirit and in truth.

Our time of worship is always followed by a time of fellowship and discussion lead by Fr Christopher. Please join us.

Divine Liturgy for the Feast of Theophany at St Nina's and Great Blessing of Waters at the Spanish Banks

On Saturday January 6th the Divine Liturgy will be served in celebration of the Feast of the Theophany of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ at St Nina's Mission at 9:30 AM. After the faithful will gather at the Spanish Banks for the rite of the Great Blessing of Waters. We will ask God to sanctify the waters of the Pacific Ocean and through it the city of Vancouver and all of creation. Fresh water will also be blessed for the faithful to take home so please bring bottles.
